Let me add another voice to echo Dr Flashback's assertion that the pre coma years of Brent's era was a great run for the band. I saw the boys extensively from 1978-1986 and then 5 - 10 times a year from then 'til the end. To me, the best post 1977 period for the boys was fall 1979-the end of 1982. I recommend the Summer tour, mostly midwest/rockies and mostly outdoors, of 1981. By the summer of 81 the band had become very comfortable with Brent and had somewhat expanded their repetoire. Of particular note, to me at least, are 7/4, 7/5,7/7, 7/11, 7/13, 7/14, 8/26, 8/27, 8/28 and the awesome Greek run, 9/11,12&13. also the New Years run at the Oakland Auditorium Arena (later renamed Henry Kaiser) is one of the strongest 5 show runs of the Brent era, culminating with, what in my opinion is one of the best shows they ever did, 12/31/81. Another great tour is the fall 79 east coast tour, especially 10/27 & 28 and 10/31, 11/1 & 2
